I had a lovely time in the mitten!

Here’s a chronicle of my trip via instagram and other photos.

Spring rewind (from Austin TX at least), the dandelions are blooming, launching Detroit into a roaring and lovely spring.

I was dazzled at Whole Foods in Detroit by the impulse plant purchases available. Blueberries and raspberries, oh my!

WJBK Fox 2 Detroit’s greenroom, obligatory tour apron shot.

And the obligatory bright lights shots from the set (thanks Mom for shooting these!) Watch the segment here.

Literati Bookstore in Ann Arbor is the coolest. Oh hey, David Sedaris, book signing event preview neighbor.

I taught a knife skills demo and started a batch of fermented carrots in the store.

Bertha Burnham is my gram’s nickname due to her tumultuous relationship with dinner rolls (and their always burned status). I got to dedicate the book to her in person and show her the dedication page. She’s saying “pickle” instead of “cheese” here.

And then there was all the lilac blooming everywhere I turned (which I industriously stashed into my carry on luggage for some sort of infusion fun at home)!
