Bread making research is fun

Fun times at the NYPL Picture Collection:

Is this your family? Is this your family? This picture strikes me not because the whole fam is color coordinated (in hot pink, no less) but more so due to the fact that they’re all sharing in the act of bread. I want to hear stories about modern families sharing the work (and pleasures) of bread making (and eating!)

Oh, I adore that photo. Reminds me of my family gathered around our new wood-burning pizza oven. We're about to unveil it on the blog -- as soon as Birch gets caught up with the how-to posts.

We make a LOT of bread as a family. Our children have been in up to their elbows in bread dough since they could stand. Just today, their daddy took fresh loaves out of the oven, and they sang a song of happiness about his new creation. Bread is one of the ties that bind us.

Love your blog!

a song of fresh bread happiness, hooray! I can't wait for the oven unveiling. And I can't wait to hear all about the other things you'll bake in there, too.
