Jams and jellies
Bloggers start your burners. It’s time for a can-do, can-can can jam!
I’m participating in this jam-making extravaganza hosted by tigress in a jam!
January’s focus ingredient: Citrus!
Though I’m in North Carolina helping my mama recover from rotator cuff surgery for two more weeks, I’ll be doing my January jammin’ when I get home.
I’m also looking forward to improvising my way to fancy with set-ups like this:
Jellybags are damn near impossible to find in NYC; however, cheesecloth grows on trees (that grow in Brooklyn.)
Wish me luck in the can jam! And keep your eyes peeled (pun intended) for my monthly productions.

Can't wait to see what you make for the CanJam!
Also where can I get one of those cheesecloth trees? ;)
Thanks Catalina! Yeah, those cheesecloth trees are in the grocery aisle of the market between frustration and over-priced kitchen equipment.
I find jelly bags to be annoying, I prefer using cheesecloth lined metal strainer. An added benefit is that I don't have to have something else laying about. Kudos to you for being so inventive, saves money and it's more fun.
A metal strainer is high on my list of things that would probably make my life much easier! Thanks Susy (Chiot's Run).
