I love ripe berries and fruits in smoothies and on waffles, and on cake, and in cobblers, and for breakfast, and, well, just any old way I can get them!!!

I am a great grandma and I eat alone, mostly. I love BERRIES for smoothies that I can whip up in no time with my blender and sip away while on my computer.
This way I get my daily fruits which otherwise I might not.

Strawberries, macerated with a bit of sugar and balsamic. Cherries, just straight.

I always intend to do something with them like jam or muffins, but end up munching them all straight up.

I looooove strawberry pie, I found a recipe on allrecipes and can't stop making it now. And for the cherries, I've been wanting to try a brandied cherry recipe for awhile now :)

So basically, if my fruit has sugar or alcohol involved I'm happy....

fresh, dipped in heavy cream and powdered sugar, at breakfast!

As Hip Girl's preserves, of course!

delurking so I can enter this awesome giveaway.

I like my fruits naked. I like my fruits in pie. I like my fruits in jam, jelly, or preserved. I can't say I have a favorite way to eat fruit because there isn't a way I don't like to eat fruit. Except maybe hanging upside down. It'd be kinda hard to swallow.

I like my strawberrues dipped in dark chocolate and my cherries unadulterated. yum.

Canned in Jams!!

Straight from the vine (or bush). Or on top of vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce.

I love berries all ways, most importantly I love them in quantity, by the kilo or quart! However I think they're best fresh picked and plain!

June 27, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterBronwyn

Cherries most definitely in a clafoutis! Anything else should be plain or topped with homemade whipped cream. No substitutions. :)

berries best in protein shakes.....
on top of freshly made waffle w/some freshly ground peanut butter....
organic strawberries dipped in darkest of dark chocolate...
and best in my morning oatmeal.
yum:]-

I like my fruit warm and fresh of the vine, bush, or tree. Next best thing; A great jar of well-made preserves.

I love a good fruit pie, or strawberry shortcake. Recently been making scones with fresh black cherries, and they are MAJOR win. <3

I wash them and take the stems off and pits out and take the out back so my kids can get good and messy eating them with me!

I'm a dessert kind of girl, so I love making strawberry cobbler.

July 4, 2010 | Unregistered Commenterwendi

By putting them in a nice cold drink, or on ice cream!

July 6, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterMatt

I really love cherries cold, straight out of the fridge. Especially on a hot day!

I love to take ripe summer berries, wash them, put them in a bowl and sprinkle with a tiny bit of raw sugar. Let that sit for about 10 minutes and eat. The leftover juice is divine to slurp up.

July 6, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterTina

I honestly love all berries, best served with a big ol dollop of lightly sweetened homemade whipped cream.

July 6, 2010 | Unregistered Commenteremily

I love blueberries or blackberries with brie and bread!

July 6, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterKibbie

Ooooh, pick me, pick me! :)

Just being a berry... despite all the jams & pies and other goodies I make, my fave way to eat berries is striaght off the bush/vine/cane whathaveyou. Heaven.
