Show me the holiday love

‘Tis the season for life providing you with an abundance of holiday love, but likely not a lot of counter/mantle space to go with it. You may recall this post from the early days of HGGH blog (my photography skills have since improved, thanks to my iPhone).

We showcase our friends’ and families’ holiday cheer using any available pillar or door frame. Our current rental house affords us a pillar between our dining and living rooms. Voila!

What other kinds of creative, small-space solutions have you come up with for displaying your cards?

I make a card wreath. I use an embroidery hoop, hot glue mini clothespins going different directions and hang with a ribbon. Then as the cards come in clip them on. I like it because it doesn't clutter up any end tables or coffee tables like a card tree does but still displays the cards and adds a festive touch to the house.
