Bring it, Spring

Springtime is here in Texas, or very near for other areas. I can’t help but wander around in my usual state of amazement over how nature works.

Strawberries growing in our community garden.

Texas Mountain Laurel, Texas-sized. Yes, I know it looks like wisteria, but it’s not. That’s in our next round of Spring!

I’m not sure what this tree is, but their blooms are magenta, pink and a mix of both like this flower. Any ideas from Texas native tree lovers?

You can’t post about Spring in Texas without a heft dose of our bluebonnets.

I’m lucky to be in Tucson for the Tucson Festival of Books during the aromatic and divine time of the orange and citrus blossoms.

What are the first signals of spring’s regeneration where you live?

Beautiful pictures! I can't wait til everything starts to bloom here in Michigan :)

The birds... bluebirds, redwinged blackbirds, the robins and the mating antics of red-tailed hawks are all harbingers of spring (in Central PA) before the first snow drops and crocuses are even noticed!

I love mountain laurel... it smells just like grape soda!

That citrus bloom! I have a similar bunch right outside my door, teasing me. My favorite flowers out are the blackberry blooms. Sweet berries just a couple of weeks away :)
