Friends of the interwebs and beyond, I’m pleased to announce the Hip Girl’s Guide to the Kitchen’s virtual tour. While I’m bopping around on planes, trains and automobiles over the next couple weeks, the book will be bopping around on this fabulous roster of blogs, some great friends, some new friends, all fantastic kitchen resources where I’m honored to visit.
Check back here for links to everyone’s posts!

As a thank you for being a part of the book’s launch by reading and sharing, HarperCollins is offering up 10 copies of the book that I will sign and personally mail to winners over the course of the blog tour. You can also visit Goodreads before May 27 for a chance to win a copy there, too!
Here’s the schedule of when book winners will be chosen:
May 23: 3 winners: Tanya V., Alicia C., Kathy M.
May 27: 2 winners: Lani L. & Jodi M.
May 30: 2 winners: Mary Kathryn D. & ???
June 3: 3 winners
Please read carefully before entering:
1. US residents only please as I’m mailing using USPS priority mail flat-rate envelopes with my own funds.
2. When you enter, please use an email address you actually check (or add me kate at katepayne dot net to your email address list). My emails to recent giveaway winners have mostly gone to spam folders and I do not have time during this tour schedule to track down winners.
3. I will be posting winners first name and last initial to facebook as I have them.
4. I will also send no more than TWO emails to each winner before moving on to a new winner. I’m sorry if you receive it after I have already awarded the book to a new winner, but the tour schedule precludes me spending a lot of time trying to connect with winners once I’ve landed in their spam folder.

I would like a yellow apron as a new color!
A virtual book tour is such an awesome idea!! I love the concept of this book!!
I am looking for any tips to make easy and fun weeknight dinners. I am not a great cook but am trying to get better. It has only been 25 years of marriage, so I guess better late than never.
I'm looking forward to learning more about preserving :)
I am looking for anything that can help make my time in the kitchen fun again!
I would love to read your new book. I've been wanting to try preserving for quite sometime, but I'm intimidated by the process! Good luck on your book tour.
I've recently started doing some preserving, but I'd like to up my game a little!
I loved your last book, and look forward to reading this one, too. I need to do a better job of stocking up, and having good, easy stuff on hand for weeknights.
I feel confident in the kitchen, but am looking forward to ideas to get things done quicker, so I feel less pressured to run and grab takeout.
My husband and I are trying our hand at cocktails recently. We are serious newbies, so help is warranted for our tastebuds' sake.
I'm excited to gain some footing and confidence in the kitchen!
Guess this will be a good excuse to check my email...at least on those days, lol. Would love your book!
Yeah, I agree that yellow would be a great cheery apron color!
I love your sassy style! I'm looking forward to expanding my fermentation skills!
So excited for your new book! Would love to learn more about preserving.
Looking forward to adding to my kitchen knowledge.
I actually need to learn to cook in smaller amounts. After cooking for 10 years at the Senior Center, it's hard to go down to two! I just love to read cookbooks anyway. And the fermentation stuff is new to me.
I'm excited to learn some fermenting tricks!
Congratulations....it looks beautiful!
would love to be better at planning ahead..
I'd love to learn more preserving tips, strategies, and recipes!
I always have such good intentions--more meals from scratch, even on weeknights, more canning and preserving, more homemade everything! Tips, skills, and confidence to actually make those things happen, that's what I'm looking for!
Organization! I stink at that!
I'm looking forward to being more confident and comfortable in the kitchen. I'm a nervous wreck in there because of my lack of confidence and skill.
