Taking inventory, literally

I think I first saw this via Food in Jars linking to Chiot’s Run.

Use a dry-erase marker directly on the fridge/freezer with a description and inventory of your stocked goods. You know what’s in there and thus what to use up before the season returns again with new freeze-ables.
